令人震撼的調查揭發牛奶國際公司的雞蛋供應鏈污濁不潔,有食物安全危機

你有在頂好或JASONS Market Place 購物嗎?如果有,你可能需要重新考慮。一個令人震撼的新調查揭發了牛奶國際公司(即頂好及JASONS Market Place的母公司)想隱藏的事實:一些來自污穢、殘暴的籠養雞蛋場,亦存有較高食物安全危機的雞蛋,被持續供應給牛奶國際公司位於香港及台灣的店鋪。

一個新調查發現,在不同的牛奶國際公司雞蛋供應商的蓄牧場,皆發現生蛋的籠子裡遍佈糞便及塵埃。糞便離母雞及雞蛋近在咫呎,母雞將近一生都被填塞在細小及殘酷的層架式雞籠裡,而這些雞籠在很多其他國家早已被禁止使用。野生雀鳥可隨意在蓄牧場飛出飛入,帶來嚴重的禽流感傳播危機。

大部份台灣的食物供應商龍頭已承諾只使用非籠養雞蛋,包括家樂福、大潤發、好市多和City Super,然而牛奶國際卻仍然持續向顧客銷售來自骯髒及殘酷的籠養雞蛋畜牧場的雞蛋。

牛奶國際是時候停止將顧客的安全陷於危險之中,以及停止支持這種嚴重的殘害動物行為。牛奶國際是時候追上同儕的步伐,承諾在台灣及亞洲其他地方只銷售非籠養雞蛋。

籠飼雞蛋的食物安全風險

數十份食品安全科學研究一致發現籠飼蛋場感染沙門氏菌明顯較高。歐洲食品安全局(European Food Safety Authority)在針對此議題進行有史以來最大規模的研究,分析來自5000座牧場的資料,發現籠飼農場感染沙門氏菌的可能性比起放養農場高出25倍。 (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17)

將母雞限制在籠子中會增加食品安全風險的原因很多,美國農業部表示將母雞終身關在籠子所產生的壓力,使其更容易患病,且籠子特別難以清潔和消毒,導致籠子上有「大量糞便和灰塵的污染」 (18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23)

籠飼雞蛋是殘忍的

就像狗和貓一樣,雞是聰明的,是個會感到快樂和痛苦的聰明個體,限制動物一生在狹小幾乎無法轉身的空間是錯誤的。(24)

籠飼系統對動物太殘忍以至於數十個國家是禁止使用的,世界上每一個主流動物保護組織都譴責將產蛋母雞限制在籠子裡是殘忍且不人道的。(25, 26, 27)
